Don't quit on guitars..... Many of us have tried and failed on projects.
I had an issue with complex wiring and a sterile sounding project Jazzmaster that took over 10 years, off & on, to eventually fix up. But now it's a good go-to guitar because it works as I want it to.
Some projects may take a little longer to get them to where you want them to be.
