Doing your own f-holes

Just wondering if anybody's done it on a hollow body. I keep looking at this

and thinking how beautiful it is. and how if i had the money I would make it something like this in a different finish:

There are router templates available for f-holes, just like there are for pickup cavities.

thanks man. it seems like those are only the conventional style ones. but i guess it couldn't be that hard to do a custom one anyway. I was thinking of something like the slash-type or like what's on that vox guitar but a little less drastically curved

Sorry about that, it wasn't clear to me that you were looking for that particular kind of f hole.
Do you by any chance have a 1:1 drawing of one?

maybe see one of those in person (easier said than done) of contact somebody with the guitar and do the template yourself

that's probably what i would do. I mean this is all hypothetical, as my thinline already has it's (somewhat bland) standard f-hole. But for future use

Templates are the way!!
If it's 100% custom you'll have to DIY or ask some luthier or something to do it for you

F-holes of a different sort?  Yeah, that was the song that started Tipper Gore's involvement with the PMRC. Old history now, but I still feel an edge of mistrust toward Al Gore, despite my conservationist leanings, and always will.
