If you're gonna do a practice / challenge build guitar - go for it!  It's gonna be quite the little project!  Having said that, I've owned a fender instrument from the 70's (Jazz Bass).  That three bolt neck really really, ahem, sucks ass.  There. I said it.

Well, the concensus seems to be that I am wasting my time. So, I guess all I can say is, SOLD to 'Torment Leaves Scars' for $2000.01! I take Money Orders, Pay Pal, VIsa and Mastercard. I'll ship it out to you just as soon as I recieve payment.  :icon_thumright: :laughing3:

In the mean time, I started checking the neck to see how hard it would be to take the poly off since it seems to be turning loose (looks cloudy in spots and is already flaking pretty bad on the back of the peghead. One little pick took off 1/3 of the poly on the back of the peghead. Before I knew what was happening, I was setting here in a pile of poly flakes with a clean bare neck in my hand. The only place the poly was still well stuck was the heel, so of course I left that. It appears that the face of the peghead was finished seperately, so I was able to leave it totally original. I've never seen finish come off this easy!
