I care, Machine Head is definitively Deep Purple.

Although a machine head is a tuner that goes on a headstock.

Roger Glover, liked the sound of it and thought it would make a good title.

To be fair, we should point out that "Made in Japan" was "Machine Head" on steroids. Far and away a dramatically better performance/recording of the same tunes.

Yes Made in Japan, is an absolute gem of an album with lots of tracks from Machine Head, and also  In Rock.  :occasion14:

If you haven't heard them do so at the first opportunity, especially Made in Japan. Killer live album.

WHO CARES!?! :icon_scratch:

The above was NOT in reference to either Deep Purple or their masterwork ''Machine Head'', but was regarding the thread topic itself....don't mean to be harsh, but....Really?

OK, I can understand Machine Head (the thrash band). Not that I like 'em more than Deep Purple but I understand. But Bush??? The best thing about them is Gwen Stefani...

Preston hasn't been around to give Cagey a hard way to go, so I thought I'd take a shift filling in for 'im!  :laughing7:

Sorry ya didn't get the peghead/bushings joke... it was pretty lame. -Humor. -I'm sorta a beginner at it.  :dontknow:

Hehe!

"Did you forget? Slip your mind that someone was in there with a god damn hand cannon?! Did you see the size of that gun he fired at us?"

Best. Flick. Ever.

BTW, Congrats on breaking through to the mind-blowing 16000+ posts ULTRA MASTER member catagory, Cagey! :occasion14: :occasion14:

Wow! Thanks, I guess. Just goes to show that I can't keep my mouth shut  :icon_biggrin:

I hope I've been helpful.

I just watched Pulp Fiction for the first time in 18 years the other day, and it's still great. Just remember Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction somehow lost Best Picture to Forrest Gump. Although I already realized not to put stock in awards after Field of Dreams lost to Driving Miss Daisy.  Robbery!!! BTW, I've never heard anyone refer to it as a peghead.

I say "headstock", because none of my guitars are old enough to have pegs. They all have modern, sealed tuning machines.

Hehe! Oh, Al!

She played a helluva role in "Sons of Anarchy", if you ever saw that.

Not to derail the thread too much, but if Mr. Pearlman's chin does anything for you, you should watch "Alien Resurrection", He's in it as a badass (naturally), and it includes Winona Ryder in case you need a face to lick, and of course, Sigourney Weaver. Spaceships, monsters, firearms, nekkid wimmin... what's not to like? It's the perfect storm! All you need is beer!
