Do you modify warmoth parts for unique guitar?

I heavily modify parts from Warmoth for my own purposes. I don't quite get the concept of creating a strat, when so many strats are available and likely there is little resell value. On the other hand, making a unique guitar and design appeals to me greatly. Warmoth has an option where it will do the body blank and routes and you cut out the shape. I build my own bodies from scratch, but my current build is based on a warmoth swamp ash tele body that I have altered the shape to my design and I will be cutting 1/2" of the top off, planing it and putting on a pecky cypress cap.  The back will get a thin veneer. The only reason I am going to this much trouble is that I have had that body for 20 yrs.
Anyway, think to have the body blank by warmoth and the routes so that all hardware fits where it should a very inexpensive option and then you still have an original shaped guitar.
So tell me what you do?

Just the heel contour. I like the Fender and ESP contoured heel better.
Of course the Fender style will not work with the Warmoth "Pro" neck construction, so you have to use Vintage Modern, or Total Vintage.
