Do not remove entries for sold items

I think it would be useful to keep sold items in the database and add a new option in the Filter Search to search sold items. Ebay has a similar feature.

This would allow us to get an idea of how a neck/body would look like even if one like it is not currently in stock.

The downside is the database size, but that's surely not a significant problem in 2016.

I think this is a good idea.

It gives the customer an idea of what is possible.

So if I'm on the phone I might say to the sales rep, "I'm looking for a body with wood grain similar to _____ do you have anything similar?"

Actually, you can still see sold items if you address the site right. By "right", I mean you need to know the production number of the part you want to see. For instance, I bought a Strat neck back in 2013 with the number SN12283. If you search for it, the pedigree shows up but the picture is gone. Then, I bought SN18087 in June of last year and if you look that up you get the pedigree plus the mug shots.

So, I'm guessing there must be a window in time for that sort of access. While you can always see the build specs for a given neck/body, the associated pictures eventually stop being available, at least outside of Warmoth. I imagine they do some sort of purge every once in a while to make room for local storage or improve database performance.

In any event, I can easily see having that sort of production history be browsable leading to analysis paralysis. Too many choices make it tougher to make a decision. On the other hand, half the fun is in the hunt.

Or possibly of outstanding previous examples.

But how many olympic white Jazzmasters or Blonde Teles does anyone need to see ?
