Do I need to modify the routing for a Wilkinson VSVG?

Hello,

I just ordered a strat body with the vintage 6 holes bridge route and Spike told me I will have to shave one side of the route to fit a Wilkinson VSVG bridge.
I didn`t know this, I still went for it thinking it should not be too difficult for me to modify the route with a dremel tool.
Can someone confirm this?

Has anyone installed the same bridge on the same route?

Mine fit in perfectly. And was perfectly intoned out of the box - how weird is that?

I just put a VSVG in a Warmoth Strat body.  It fit perfectly.

I really wonder why Spike told me that 3 customers of warmoth had to make the route for a fender vintage tremolo bigger to fit the wilkinson vsvg...

anyway, it doesn`t matter anymore, i can sleep well...
