Did someone say abalone??

So I screwing together this guitar for a friend.  He ordered all the parts from GFS.  The whole shebang cost him $550.  Its going to have some bling.  Chrome hardware and a maple neck with Abalone fret markers and headstock.

They say it is.  The have added several other bodies too.  Pearloid, Spalted maple.  GFS is going upscale.  However they are NOT cheap.  $200 and up.  Core wood is usually basswood.

Those XGP bodies are pretty nice. Dimensions are correct, and the paint is good. I've used them a couple times with Warmoth necks and hardware/electrics from the usual suspects and got good results. This Fiesta Red Tele is one example...

I have not.  I have only used the electric products.  I will say I have only been disappointed once, and it was with a pickup

I just finished a build of mostly Guitar Fetish parts. When I first saw these bodies I knew I had to build one. I used GFS Gold Foil pickups. It was a fun build, and I would not hesitate to use their parts in the future
