First off, I searched the archives and found nothing exactly on this subject. SSo I figured I would ask...
I tend to order my necks from W finished. I'm no finisher, and I do know my limitations.
That said, I do want to put a custom waterslide decal on them. If I plan on doing that to a maple headstock that has been finished with gloss (of whatever type of tint), do I have to prep the headstock before putting the decal on?
I would assume after putting the decal on and letting it dry sufficiently that I would need to shoot it with a couple coats of poly. Is that a good assumption too?
