Look what I came across in the gallery:

I really like it, they called it the Swamp Thing.
Imma put that one on the list.

I do believe you can find that in this forum somewhere.  The guy had those metal strips made because he wanted to see more of the flame.

I didn't know MF bought Harmony Central. Been a long time since I've been there. Far too wild, like a room fulla kindergartners on their first caffeine buzz.

So it's like The Gear Page, only younger?  :icon_biggrin:

No, the Gear Page is a whole different animal. Lotta fanatics, but generally well-behaved.

Hey hey

I'm seeing a number of unique paint jobs, as well as very nice figured woods on guitars that you can't get through the builder.  Is there a secret unwritten thing where you can call the W guys and they will do custom work?  I've looked all over the site for the "call only" type stuff and I'm not seeing anything.

Thanks.  I would love to know the types of cool stuff you can get.  For instance I'd love to get a really nice carved top tele with a funky colored natural mahogany or black korina, but it seems like to have to wait for one to hit the showcase and then hope it has the routing, bridge etc that you want.

It's best to call or email if you have outside the box ideas.

There *are* quite a few options not on the website and that has been a necessity.  The Warmoth site is already content and detail heavy.  That's important for some but can be confusing for many others.  Making the site even more content heavy with more options could have a negative effect.  Sometimes if you give people too many options, they cannot make a decision at all.

Additionally, many 'off the chart' options (particularly paint) can be heavily dependent on the type and figure of the wood selected.  X goes with Y and Z, but not Q unless R.....

I'm obviously biased, but I think Warmoth is one of the best equipped custom shops in the world.  Stellar staff too!!

No, the problem with the New Harmony Central is NOT the problem with the old one -

I've been playing for over three months! I own hundreds of guitars! I play jazz, rock, blues, country, classical, funk, metal, mandarin chinese and cajun! And I'm only giving this guitar one star, becuase I have to take it to the shop because it goes out of tune!

No - it's been TOTALLY FLIP-FLOPPED and is now a Stepford-guitarist site. Everyone is polite! Everyone is joyous! Everyone agrees about everything!

I guess I better get used to it, they're doing HEAVY ju-ju to youngster's minds these days. Prozac for preschoolers!

"Now Tyler, you're annoying Mommie! You're going to have to take THIS PILL..."

"AIYEEEE..." gobble gobble flump crackle

"Oooh! Mommie LUBBS her goo-ood little Tyler..."

"zzzt... zzzt... zzzt..."

Thanks man, appreciate the response.  Now I just have to let my brain decide on something.
