Waiting on the body to arrive, got the Quantum veiw email yesterday and its due here tomorrow. 2 days from Seattle to Melbourne, Australia is pretty impressive.

Here is the neck that i have had for a couple of months

Specs as follows
Neck: Jazz, Goncalo/Goncalo, black blocks, black binding , 6230 frets, TUSQ nut, Hipshot ultralights, Hipshot 3 string retainer
Body: Black Korina/Black Korina Custom T bass, Black-brown-yellow burst, natural masked binding, Single SD Quarter pounder P pickup, Fender Roscoe Beck bridge, DangerousR6 Chuck Norris neck plate, ebony knobs.

Yes fast indeed ....... May-be because it's all downhill from there  :icon_jokercolor: And it's going back in time ...
This sounds like it will be very nice indeed, I'm loving that neck  :toothy10:
Can't wait to see the body.
 
Is there any kind of finish on that? Because that is one shiny, smooth-looking piece of Goncalo. I've never seen a Goncalo neck with such a reflective surface.

I just got to get some felt washers for the strap locks before i install them and i want to make a cover for the truss rod slot, i got some ebony and brass so im thinking a chrome inlay in ebony for that, eventually, 1st it needs a professional setup

The Grolsch has nothing on the paint thinners in the previous photo.
 
Oooh. Purty. Like the body and the choice for pickup. The control plate is a nice touch too.

The neck is in interesting mix with the body (i.e. prolly not what I would have picked), but it's super classy, and in the end - if it sounds good, who can argue?

It doesnt quite look right to me either, gotta do something about it. I never would have picked the blocks and binding, it was a showcase neck and a case of seeing it and having to have it, beautiful grain in the fingerboard. The yellow on the body came out a bit darker than what was in my head.
