So I noticed that warmoth can do custom peghead shapes for a minimum $45 charge. This might be what I've been looking for since they wouldn't do a slotted head stock for me. But I think i can just have them cut out the shape for me and I just do the work to get the slots in then I'm in good territory.
My question has to do with the thickness of the peghead. I know that they are too thin to mount tuners to the side of the peghead. But if i were to have a laminate wood glued on to it, I should have the proper thickness to be able to get the job done. So the question is whether warmoth will glue on a laminate for me on the peghead. Has anybody here done that and how much did they charge for it?
Thanks. I'm getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on my first warmoth. Just want to make sure I get all the bases covered first.
