Custom Color for smjenkins

I received this body and neck from Warmoth today to finish for smjenkins.  He is after a custom color called Cornucopia (see the color swatch in the second picture).  The lacquer is on order and I will update with progress pictures. This is going to be a unique one.

Goldish with a maple neck? What pickguard? A VERY light mint could look good, as could white or black.

That JM + Tele combo looks way better than I would have thought  I have to ask though, what is the switch on that guitar for?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a "that sure is some pretty woodgrain you're covering up there. If it were me I would put an oil finish on it" or the "If it were me I would use a Canary neck with a cacacholo fingerboard" or the "I would put a DiMarzio full norton air distortion in there or a set of P-rails". Sorry..............anyway sounds like a cool build. I'm anxious to see that color when done ccasion14:

There's a pickup hidden under the pickguard.

or it could be wired like an esquire. unless this is a particular guitar that you know has a ghost pickup under the pickguard

According to the store selling it, it's got 2 hidden pickups and the switch is a 5-way.

They don't say what the S-1 switch does, but it could be for taking the tone pot out of the circuit, doing a series/parallel thing, or adding the neck pickup to anywhere on the 5-way selector.

Actually smjenkins' guitar will have a black pickguard. I can't help but feel somewhat responsible for the hijack.

I've seen Charvels with a similar color scheme and think it would look sweet on a Jazzmaster.

That's a beautiful color. I can see why Jenkins would want that.

Looking at it again, Jenkins' color swatch is a more traditional gold, but the black pickguard, pickups and knobs on gold/maple is a good combo either way.
