HI! I'm signing up for this contest with my band in a coupple of weeks, and I just want your meanings on one of the new songs we have for this gig. I'm wondering if there is anything I should change in the way I play, or sound, or perhaps a few new ideas for the solos or something.

It's recorded with my Gibson Les Paul, allthough I'm going to play it with my warmoth strat.

I'm thankful for all feedback on this one, guys :)

Surprisingly as I don't usually listen to stuff like this I kind of liked it! Good tones, the somewhat murky and not so damn finely grained distortion was excellent. Good drumming too, which I find is rare in metal/hard rock. Stay away from the bridge pickup on your W and all should be well!

The solo - here's what I would do: I'd ditch the harmonies and the gratuitous tapping, cut the length of it in half, and then just go by feel and let'er rip. 2-3 takes, then edit together something really cool. I just don't go for the fully composed kind of guitar solos, I think this needs more spontaneity.

wow! i loved it. i really like instrumentals, but sometimes they can seem really repetitive without lyrics. i really liked this one, and i thought the solo was great. very nice work!
