Coping Saw Blades

Have any of you had experience using coping saws? I want to use one on the Cocobolo pickup rings for the clone build. I saw an article about scroll saws being used on cocobolo. It said to use blades with 26 teeth per inch. The most teeth on coping saw blades I’ve found is 20 per inch. Any idea if 20 tpi would do the job without wrecking the wood?
