I just pulled tape on the stripes today and have to let it set over night to get some clear on it but it's looking pretty good.  The ghosting is residue from the tape that will be wiped off with benzene and it should look pretty killer after a few coats of clear.

Great! But be carefull with Benzene, this cr@p is causes cancer like hell! I'm sure you know it, but never is to much to say safety words

Life causes cancer. Not that one should tempt fate, but most hazards are dramatically overblown.

Wow this thing looks great. It is Lake Placid Blue with Sonic Blue on the stripes. Here it is with the first coat of clear melting it all together. I need another guitar like a hole in the head but this is pretty tempting.

Yes there will be sanding done to make the feel of the lines less apparent but since this is lacquer they will not be buried like the ones Fender did with the thick poly.

No kidding. That's sweet. I've never really wanted a copy of that body style, but you're turning my head.

I was very surprised at how comfortable that body shape is.  Even with a heavy neck, no dive and very comfy.  Of course Mr Tonar makes it a lot easier to like all of these body styles with the handiwork he adds.
