Cold feet?

Ever get cold feet on a build? I'm starting to think - dude. What am i going to do with an unlined fretless bass? Yes they look cool. But I'm an old dog. And that's definitely a new trick.

Ohh Ya. I've second thoughted my self crazy a couple times. I take it that you've never played upright bass?

I am considering buying the fretless Fender neck they have at the local guitar consignment/repair shop.  I'm only a part time bass player, but cannot resist playing the double basses when visiting my kid's schools. I *think* I can get the intonation.
In addition to looking cool, fretless sounds amazing (when done right of course).

Best fretless bass I ever played was at David Gages in NYC.  If you have the opportunity, make an appointment, and they'll give you a tour and let you play any bass you want.  At least they used to.  I got to play a bass worth more than my house, and it was awesome!  I talked about here before.

Every single time for me. Usually about 5 minutes after I clicked 'complete order'. Especially when it's just not possible to have any particular part cover all options and eventualities.

It has side dots. And I'm not sure I'd call this "no markers of ANY  kind". And yes - I got some wood shedding to do for a couple years.
