Cocobolo Pickup Rings....Whut?

Dang, those are pretty! I'm a fan of the wooden pickup rings myself. I've got Flame Maple rings on my R7 LP.

I'm planning my next build (aren't we all?) and have been considering a set of Indian Rosewood rings. I get a little twitterpated just thinking about it, haha!

Man those are awesome!  Nice build.  Yeah I grabbed those Cocobolos off ebay, guy on there sells his wares.  I've got two builds going at once and it's tangling up my mind.  Need to slow down.  :tard:

I'm afraid I can't take credit for her, she was born in the factory. She came equipped with cream rings, and I liked the look, but they were a little on the "Band-Aid" side of the cream color spectrum and I wanted to get away from that. Looking for different options led me to stumble upon the wooden rings and I was instantly hooked. I'm not sure that I can say they do anything in particular to the sound, but I love the way they look and I love the way they feel and, well, that stuff matters! I found mine here:
