Hey so not a lot of people post their recordings in here so I thought I would post something new for you guys to check out who enjoy older metal. For me that would be 80's metal. This is kind of a deep cut; not sure that I have ever heard it on the radio, but still a great song imo.

I played all guitar work, my cousin played the bass track, and the drum track was found online. I used my Warmoth Soloist for all the rhythm work which is simply a left and right channel with slightly different amp settings on each. The solo work is done on my USA Jackson Soloist because my W is a hardtail and I needed a vibrato.

Let me know what you think. I have quite a few recordings so far I am most pleased with the mixing I did on this one which is why I am showing it.

For those of you who know this song... no I did not play it in the same tuning as the original and no it is probably not note for note, I am more interested in what you think of the tone and audio quality (Which I had to dumb the quality quite a bit to make it small enough to attach)

Congratulations for selecting a great song :icon_thumright: It must be the most unpopular song of the album and I like that! I knew how to play the rhythm parts many years ago, I'll have to relearn it some time.
I was 12 years old when MOP was released and Metallica overshadowed the few bands I was listening at the time like Maiden, Scorpions, Ozzy etc. They were so fresh and honest...few bands had the same effect on me after them.

What did you use to record? Amp/mic or straight into a computer?

Hey kostas I think the only song they have probably played less live from mop would probably be damage inc, and they also had that overshadowing effect on me.

About my recording process. Very simple, my chain is guitar-amp direct out to my interface. except the lead which would be guitar-wah pedal-amp di.

What did you think of the quality/playing/tone?

Fantastic cover, man!  Love the sounds you got for this.  Also, one of my favorite Metallica songs ever, and sorely underrepresented, IMO.
