Anyone have any suggestions for where chrome jazzmaster pickup covers and other assorted hardware? I've tried searching all the usual sites, but I've had no luck. I'm particularly interested in the roller knobs for the upper controls.
I'd call them thumbwheels, but in guitar world they seem to always be referred to as roller knobs - avoids confusion with bridge parts I suppose.
I certainly can't find anything except the black anodized ones but they would be pretty easy for a machine shop to make. Actual chrome plating would probably be expensive but polished aluminium would look good.
Searching for chrome Jazzmaster pickup covers brings up a few results - Curtis Novak does wide range HBs under chrome JM covers so it may be worth contacting him. Also, there are companies out there plating/'metallizing' plastic parts - mainly mobile (cell) phones etc.
Good luck with your search, I'd certainly like to see a successful result!
Edit - I think these are examples of the above.
There are posts about this one on the offset guitars forum.

I've never seen roller wheel knobs in chrome. I did a Jazzmaster project myself a few years back & did a lot of looking for various parts & not once can I recall seeing those knobs in chrome. Only ever in black. They are heavy solid steel by the feel of them too. :dontknow:
