I've got some leftover wire length from the two BYOC stompers I got last month. Would that be appropriate to use when hooking up the Strat when I'm ready?

Depends on what kind of wire it is, and how much you have.

The answer is yes, but I say throw it away and buy new stuff, wires cheap, and it will help the economy
