Got the Lollar Charlie Christian and B.S. pickups today.
For the neck pickup I am going to get a piece of Walnut or Wenge (since the neck will be Wenge) from Bell Forest and make a pickup ring to "hide" only the pickup cavity.

6th coat of tru-oil n the front, and 4th on the back.

After the 3-4 layer I start to question not having Warmoth do the work. Then the sanding and applying more coats, around the 6th & 7th coat I start to see it all come together. Still I think if I do another one I'll splurge and have Warmoth finish it like they did on my VIP and Chambered Swamp Ash Strat.

Received my custom Warmoth Telecaster body today. Kudos to the Warmoth team for putting Spud's orders off to the side to get this done.

It is a chambered Walnut body with a Walnut lam top. It is routed for a Charlie Christian neck and tele bridge pickup that I will order from Lollar. For the bridge I will be using a Van Dyke-Harms Hybrid Telecaster Bridge and Monolithic Saddle Combo.
