Chambered Body Issue

Hoping I can get some help from you guitar demigods out there (Stratamania, are you there? :dontknow:).
I just received a beautiful MK satin finished 7/8 T-Style chambered body and the neck pick up pocket rout doesn't seem to feed into the control cavity.
The rout hole in the neck pickup pocket seems to go straight down about an inch and just stops.
If you feed a wire from the control cavity towards the neck pocket, it goes in about 4 inches and just stops.

Here's the weird part - if I shine an LED flashlight into the control cavity, there's a very faint amount of light shining up through the neck pup rout hole. If I reverse that process with the flashlight shining into the neck pup pocket, NO light makes its way into the control cavity. :tard:

I'm very reluctant do anything rash or ill-advised with power tools. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! :yourock:

First thing I'd try is a piece of stiff wire to poke through the channel. Could just be some sawdust or other detritus blocking it, and keeping the more flexible wire from making it through.  :icon_scratch:

I use a zip tie.

Do a search for zip tie and you'll see in my Nashville Tele thread how to do it.

I would go from the control cavity with something such as BigSteve22 suggests.

Add a bit of a twist and push as it nears the obstruction and it should help push it out. You can also try alternating going from one direction from the control cavity to the other if it helps.

I think Rick when mentioning his zip tie is talking about a method to get wires through but the hole needs to be cleared first. Rick, post links to something as it may be difficult for people to know where to find your thread.

Oh and thanks for the status of demigod being bestowed on me.

You're welcome...and thank you...

Clip off the end of the zip tie.  Make a small hole for the dental floss.  That was a chambered body.  Sort of like needle and thread.

Hey Guys (ahem, Demigods),
Thanks for the great advice! I contacted Brian at Warmoth for additional help and he provided the routing diagram for a chambered body - which was incredibly useful because I could visualize where the twists and turns were. There actually was an obstruction which I cleared by carefully reaming out the neck pup hole with a taped-off drill bit, stopping just at the point where the channel makes a hard right turn towards the control cavity. This time, when I poked a stiff wire starting inside the control cavity, I could see the wire peeking through looking down the neck up hole. As you can see I left the wire in, so I can pull the pickup wires through when I'm ready!
There's pink tape around the bridge pup cavity too because, hey, I bothered to get my drill out, right?
