What's everyone's thoughts on Carvin Pickups?

For the most part I love the products they put out, I have one guitar (with it's stock pickups-AMAZING) I have the V3 head, The SX300 head, the BR 600 head and cab... and most recently I bought three single coils to put in a new Warmoth build I will have completed in the morning...

Thought I'd see what kind of responses I'd get.

I'm a big fan of Carvin stuff as well, although I haven't heard any of their guitars.  I've had a full MTS 3200 stack for about 10 years now, and will never buy anything else.  I've heard people bash them but I like to form my own opinion.  Let me know how you like them.

The Carvin DC150 which you see in my avatar came with c22's.

I found them to be a bit too scooped in the mids and too hot (measured about 13K), so I sold them on Ebay.

A5 magnets in humbuckers aren't my style - I dig A2's.

Have SD Seth Lovers in there now; which I originally intended to do anyways (dig them nickel covers).

One other thing - their humbuckers are slightly smaller than the normal... had to rout out a few sixteenths inches width to fit the Seths in there.

I'm sure they're very good for modern stuff, however.  Just ain't my bag.

Here's more on the project...

I'm the proud owner of a CS6 with the S22 pickups and I like them.  On the Carvin boards there seem to be two distinct camps.  One loves the stock pickups, and the other replaces them the instant the guitar leaves the box.
