One downside that I can think of is that the top carve would interfere with using jazzmaster vibrato unit/plate, but I still think it would be pretty darn cool

Fender did some with a t.o.m around and I always wanted one

I would rather they built a version of Jazzmaster with a smaller and lighter body. Maybe it could fit into a regular flight case.
