Can Warmoth recess, or semi-recess, the Gotoh 510 rout?

I like to have a floating trem, set parallel with the body. Like you do with a recessed floyd. I know you can float a 510 with a normal rout but I like to have the tremolo set parallel with the body and don't like it leaning too far forward.

Like in these pictures;

And I think Charvel and Ibanez are doing it with their 2-point trems on the Charvel DK24 and the Ibanez AZ... so lots of agreement that it's a good way of doing it.

So, anyone know if Warmoth can do this? I know it's not a standard option, but neither was the Kahler on my most recent Warmoth!

No, that rout is not currently programmed.

Could we do it? Yes, of course, but as of now it is neither done nor on our our list of things to do.

I have seen a lot of people asking about it. We just need one person to step up and say "I'm willing to be the guy who pays for the R&D....here's my order."

Been talking to a couple of buddies about this and they too would like this option (although who knows if they'd put their $$$ where their mouth is?).

So out of curiosity... how much does R&D run for this sort of thing? How many body orders do you need to make it worthwhile for you?

Thanks for checking.  Understand there is a lot that goes into these changes.  It would be a desirable option.

You need to round up probably 20 - 30 people to put their money up front to get it done.  You can get the 510 parallel without a recess by the way. A recess may allow a little more pull up if the rest of the cavity does not get in the way of the block.

Getting new bridge routs is not an easy thing to achieve.
