Can I recreate this finish using Tru Oil?

I will be receiving an unfinished alder bass body from Warmoth. I would like to recreate a similar color finish to the bass in following Youtube video.

Can I achieve this with Tru Oil? Would I need to do an amber tint before applying the Tru Oil? Thanks!

That should be acheivable with Tru-Oil, though you may need to stain the body slightly. Another good option are wudtone finishes.
