Can I put a dab of Satin Urethane over Nitro?

HI. I just need to put a  coat over a headstock decal to protect it. I have a nitro-cellulose finished neck. I really don't want to have to spend close to 20 bucks on a can of Re-Ranch Nitro just for the decal. Can I put a light spray of Satin Urethane, which i already have a can of,  over the Nitro neck  on the decal? What about wipe on poly? Thanks

Grab some Deft lacquer.  Tons of places carry it.  Lowes even does.
