Can anyone tell me about these avatars? I can't get mine to load.

Hello there.  I'm new here.  Been ruining guitars for a little over 40 years by now.

I just signed up and the site won't take my avatar picture.  I tried a few sizes and a few compressions, searched the forums for info and read every page of the instructions.  All I found was "The administrators set the standards for avatars"  but there just ain't nowhere that says what those standards are.  Not that I could find anyway.

If you know, can you share?

Yer avatar has to fit in a certain pixel size _and_ be of no more than a certain file size.

Honestly I think the forums having issues.  I tried to update mine the other day and failed....with the same exact avatar pic.

the whole internet is having issues. facebook, yahoo, and ebay are all giving me error messages.

It doesn't say the size or the file size until it fails... or at least thats the way it used to be.
