Can anyone identify this wood?

I recently kicked the tires on this partscaster that is for sale online.  The owner doesn't know what kind of wood the body is made out of.  Anyone have an idea what it could be made out of?  (P.S. The body is about 30 years old, so it's possible that that is not it's true color)

It looks like alder or maple.

Unfortunately, no.  Just that pic and a full shot of the front of the entire guitar.
