Hey folks,
I’ve got an odd one here for you. I bought a warmoth neck that had everything I wanted, Clapton profile, roasted, stainless etc… except it had moonglow dots. No big deal, I thought. They’re a neat novelty.
Only… I can’t see them in dim light. Like not at all. This is a fairly dark roasted maple neck and what I need to know is whether to replace them (side dots to start) with black or white. Which shows up better, in your experience? All my other guitars have rosewood boards, so I’m lacking a good comparison point.
My initial idea was to go with a smaller diameter inlay, drill through the existing moonglow and set the new ones inside those dots so I could still get some glow if I ever bothered charging them but it seems I likely I will. It sounds like a neat touch anyway.
