Hey Guys, I just ordered my first Warmoth....I'm putting together a strat. I chose the vintage 6 hole tremolo route on the body. Can I use a Callahan vintage tremolo on my Warmoth?
It'll work, but your E strings will be very close to the edges due to the wider spacing. It's not wrong - it's designed to be that way - just be aware that it'll be easy to push/pull E strings off the neck.
I always wondered about that but it has never been a problem for me. Did Fender stop putting the wider ones on their guitars or do some models still use them.
I don't know. Fender only has about a thousand variations of each model, so you'd think you could keep track of them all, but sadly, I have a deflicted brane...

Thank you for all the input! I emailed Callahan to see if all their hardware is usa made. I'll think about it and try to make a decision soon...I just want it to fit the first time....
So the bridge you guys are talking about is the callaham vntage s model. I called them today and they said that everything in the hardware kit is made in the USA except for the input jack and the tuners...they are both made by gotoh.
