Why do you need "bullet" ferrules?

The regular Ferrell are $25 for 6piece, bullet Ferrell are $7.50, I ordered bullet because of the price difference, stewmac is the source, just worried about inferior product

The difference in price is likely due to the bullets being more straightforward to manufacture compared to the others.

The regular chrome was $10.81 in Aug 2021, $11.35 in Dec 2021, $12.20 May 2022, $14.89 in Feb 2023.

So seems to be Stewmac’s greed.

That's the thing with retail sales: it's hard to keep the doors open without sufficient markup!

Stewmac's steadily increasing costs are at least keeping up with their greed, I am sure... We are all free to buy elsewhere if we don't like their business model. I rarely buy from them anymore, but when I do it's because they offer something that I can't get anywhere elae...

A friend of mine once sent StewMac a rather strongly worded e-mail about their prices. They replied that they were a family business, they didn’t appreciate his language, and black listed him for life! This is true! I still say my pleases and thank yous to them and am always happy when a box arrives

These are the small ferrules that you put in the top of a guitar like with t.o.m. style bridge and stringthrough.

They're are smaller and not interchangable with the ones that you use in the back of a telecaster etc. like Verne linked a picture of.

For what it's worth, stew mac stands by its products so if there's something inferior they will take it back. I always go with the Warmoth ferrules, as I feel they should fit the holes they drill. Sometimes I have to do a little sanding but it's not too bad. the flush mount ones look interesting.

You are correct, the bullet is small, I ordered the wrong part, warmoth has them for 84 cents apiece and I need to get the pickguard anyway. Buy and learn
