It's a BYOC Large Beaver, Triangle spec.  I did the swirl paintjob on it as you can see.

Love the way this sounds.  Especially the higher notes on the neck pickup.

I am building a Colorsound Overdrive clone from Guitar PCB right now.

After that, I'm going to build my 13 year old cousin a Guv'nor clone or a Brown sound in a box clone from GGG.

Met the guys that run BYOC a few years ago.  Pretty impressed.  They're a great bunch with good products.

Pretty cool, I've been contemplating a BYOC myself... :icon_thumright:

+1 on both points :)

What's the general quality of the parts from BYOC? Does the end result sound good?

There's lots of BYOC demos on youtube

I've built a bunch of pedals by BYOC.  In general they go for the highest quality they can.  There are always things that show up to make builds more difficult, but these are builder specific for the most part.  Very nice stuff.  I have a Large Beaver kit, but I wanted to etch the aluminum box, and never got to getting the art part right.  So it is patiently waiting.  Nice paint job.

My BYOC Fully Loaded Phaser. Easy to build and it sounds great.  :headbang1:

Wonder if the guys from Primus own one?  :icon_biggrin:

TBH, I would run a million miles away from a soldering job like that. I am simply not that confident at doing it successfully and ruining the kit. I checked out the BYOC website, there is some crazy Canadian who does assemble and build these clones and sells them, that may be the way to go for me if I wanted one. I own one of the earlier Little BIg Muffs and the annoying feature about that pedal is that it has a slide switch instead of a pot for switching between the tonal variants, it's basically a chainsaw or big fart distorion and nothing in between...no subtlety..

.
No, they use Big Brown Beavers, which is a hybrid of a Big Muff and a Large Beaver.... :laughing7:

That looks great, nice job!  I'm building two pedals right now from GGG kits: a Bluesbreaker clone for myself and a Tubescreamer clone for a buddy.  He has requested that i call it the Boob Screamer.  True story.
