Hey folks! This is my first post but i've been a member for a while. I don't have the money to go full warmoth, but i got an old squier strat that was actually my first guitar and i'm planning an overhall. I had a strat a few years back that had red/silver/blue lace sensors in it (just sounded COOL  :glasses9: ) but had to sell it because I needed the money. Now I miss it and I want to rebuild it but upgraded HSS style. I'm gonna get all the electronics (minus pups) and hardware from warmoth, but I need some help picking the pickguard/pickup cover combo. I was thinking either black/black or black/mint. What do you guys think?

I used to have a plain white pickguard. It looked boring
Here's Black w/pearloid (and white pups)

Thanks for replying! I'm usually not a big pearloid fan but that strat has me thinking otherwise. By the way, what brand of tremolo is that?

Have you already got the pickups?  If not, get them in white with white controls.  Any pickguard color would work with a black body and white controls.  Black, white, tortoise, red pearl, blue pearl, green pearl.

That looks like a boogie rail, I always thought it was weird that the name on the boogie rails are put on upside down?

Indeed it is.  Must say that it's leagues better than the 6 point trem it came with.
Neither direction is upside down to me, I don't play it straight up or straight down.

Yeah I already have the pups, got them off a buddy for cheap (Red/Silver dually, Blue, and Emerald all for under 100 bucks). He's a part of that "Lace Sensors sound too sterile" crowd. Hell, I might just have to buy another set in white and make two guitars. The Lace's come in enough flavors to be worthwhile. That'll be another day, though. Thanks for the tip!

Alright so I called my buddy back and he wouldn't mind keeping the black pups if I were to buy white ones. Here's the mockups for white/mint and gilmour-style white/black (though I've already built one of those... :icon_biggrin: ) Feedback? Better than the black knobs/pups?
