Bridge Ground Wire Routing Question

My rear routed Strat body arrived with out a hole drilled for the ground wire to the bridge.  As I have to do it myself, what looks to be easiest route would be to drill a short hole from under the bridge into the bridge  pickup cavity, and from there simply run it along side the pickup wires into the control cavity (using the already drilled 1/4 inch hole).  Are there any issues with taking it this way in terms of possible noise/hum?

Thanks

Hardtail.  It is a Jazzmaster body, rear routed with humbuckers at both the bridge and neck.  My options are to drill a five inch hole from under the bridge (Hipshot) into the cavity (just missing the string holes), or drill a 1.5 inch hole over to the bridge pickup pocket and from there just use the existing routing for the pickup wires to the control cavity.  The latter course is my preferred option, provided doing so will create no issues.

No, that'll work just fine.
