Gregg,
I still think way down inside you lurks a deep desire to have a Zemaitis and that come close. Way cool guitar.  I think you ought to put a Zemaitis style headstock on that with a matching finish.  Wow. 

I think I have seen that finish before.  Is that a "House Of Kolor" product.  Sure looks like it.

My son opted for a Warmoth headstock on this build. Not sure where they got that paint.

I'm actually going to build a Strat next. I have this raw Swamp Ash body signed by Buddy Guy on the front that I need to do something with. Maybe a light Tobacco Burst with a Satin finish. Been seeing a lot of those lately and I'm really liking that look.

Good question. Warmoth will likely not offer that finish in the future since it is so costly and fraught with peril to do. You can call Warmoth on Monday and see if a rep can run down that information for you though just in case they'll give it another try.

Well, Gregg, couldn't you do the same thing, but with black pearl pickguard material?
