Brass Strat Saddles?

What do you guys think about Brass Saddles on a Strat? I've had an all Brass Tremolo, and now I have a trem with a steel block, a brass plate, and wondering if I should use steel or brass saddles.  :rock-on:

I’m not sure exactly how this will translate to a Strat, but I find that on a Tele I like brass saddles on a hardtail configuration but not with a Bigsby. I’ve tried a couple of times and always go back to steel with the Bigsby. The attack is too soft (I would say “mushy”) for me with vibrato + brass.

The only way to know if it is something that you might like is to give it a try.

In the 80s there was at one point a whole market devoted to brass hardware.

I had an all brass Mighty Mite strat trem on an early 80's Ibby Roadstar some 35 years ago, and it was the ballsiest sounding non locking trem I've ever owned.  You can find them every now & then on the net, but watch the threads in the block and on the bar, easy to strip.

I heard that Eric Johnson uses a brass saddle for his high e on some guitars to fatten the tone a bit. They seem hard to find though.
