Body finish to pair with Padouk

What body color do you guys think would pair best with a padouk neck and black hardware?

Vintage white, cream, whatever you want to call it.  Or black.

I would tend to agree with the black or white choices. Other colors could detract from the beauty of that neck.

I'm on board with black or white. No color is going to either match or contrast it effectively, so I'd keep colors out of the deal. Let it stand on its own.

I am going to be the rebel here and say a nice metallic copper finish will look good with the black and the orange to red of the padouk. One of my padouk necked beauties has a orange tint over maple finished with true oil. It works. The other one is magenta (a very manly hot pink) so my judgement might nto be the best.

I've gotta go along with the white, cream or black votes.  Been eyeballin' one of the Padouk strat necks in the showcase myself, wondering the same question!  Although if that copper had a lot of red to it.......... :dontknow:
