Here are a couple of pictures of me playing "Felix The Strat", my 1988 (I guess) Fender American Standard Stratocaster that has been modified multiple times (only the electronics).
Here is a picture from 1996 (our best guess) when I was performing with the Eric Gnezda Band. Here Felix has a Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge position and Fender Lace Sensor Gold pickups in the middle and neck positions. A standard 5-position blade switch is there and a single volume knob.
Here is a recent picture. It now has a Warmoth pickguard routed H-x-H, V-x-T, with slider switch. The electronics are a Duncan Custom in the bridge and Duncan Jazz in the neck. The single volume and tone are both 500k pots and the pickup switch is a Megaswitch P-Model which selects the pickups like a PRS. I got the switch from Stewart-McDonald: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Components:_Switches_and_knobs/2/Megaswitches.html
