I have been called Trevor Howe..................Very yes!
I use those as a visual aid when I play Purple Haze for hearing impaired folks. They always seem to like my playing the best.I like the purple saddles !
You’d have to define the material the pg is made of as well as the thickness to start talking about the specific effect it will have. Most metal can change the inductance of a pickup, and will generally lead to lower resonant freqs and a perceived loss in treble. If grounded, they can also assist with shielding (and vice versa, ungrounded can become an antenna).I’ve never tried a metal pickguard. Does it reduce the high end? I’ve had brass open pickup covers on single coils before and it noticeably reduced the high end. I thought it wouldn’t because they were open, but I was wrong about that.
Dunno yet,the feel good and the locking is working good. To soon to tell but they seem quality. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are as good as hipshots. The guyker tuners look good, but how do they feel compared to hipshot with ump? Are they made of similar materials? Besides the ump, are the hipshot worth the higher price?
