I’ve never tried a metal pickguard. Does it reduce the high end? I’ve had brass open pickup covers on single coils before and it noticeably reduced the high end. I thought it wouldn’t because they were open, but I was wrong about that.

I haven’t noticed that. It does make it quieter. However, some folks say it does reduce treble.

Anyhoo, Raga I am pretty sure you couldn't handle the spicy sizzle of the Red Devil, so please..............look away!!

Wow, I do like the looks of that metal pickguard, never tried one. Where are you getting them from ?

I have gotten them from Reverb and Amazon. (beware as the zon does have some that do not fit properly) They are anodized aluminum.

I am waiting on a quality wired strat harness from Reverb. $ 52.00. Yes, I can solder well, and have done many, and even have all the necessary parts in bin. I don't really enjoy it. Was a no brainer for me. CTS 250K split shaft brass, Gavit pushback vintage cloth wire, Oak Grigsby switch, Switchcraft jack. BOOM!

Also, Ragamuffin and Aaron are neck and neck for the best hairdoo award on the Warmoth board. Mayfly gets an honorable mention for effort, however, diminishing follicles are holding him back a tad.

The thing is the contest is made up by me, judged only by me and flattery and bribery is very much encouraged. I am sure your hair is quite nice, but Aaron's mane is flowing and incredibly luxurious. ( in fact his mane is akin to a majestic unicorn prancing through an enchanted forest) I like good guitar stuff, ales, scotch, bourbon, and Irish whiskey.
