I'm currently working on the cad for my new all bloodwood project and am toying with the idea of leaving the body unfinished, the only thing is that I don't want a bunch of discoloring in the forearm area.  This is the first time I've worked with bloodwood so I'm just wondering if it colors much with use and/or oxidation.

Oil it or do the whole acrylic seal thing. It's a really hard coat but it doesn't fill the grain at all and leaves the texture of the wood, if not the... er... woodiness? Silkyness?

are you talking about polyacrylic?  Should I just use one thin coat to keep the "woody" feel?

Blood wood stays red, it may darken a bit over time. I've also read that most finishes won't stick to it.... :dontknow:
