Good reviews - thanks

IMO it appears the perfect amp for lounges/small clubs......a lot of overkill out there

I couldn't pass up that pair of 16 ohm Celestion Vintage 30's Metalman22105 was giving away for 1/2 price; just finished pulling the "special Eminence" speakers out of the two Blackheart 1x12's I have the Handsome Devil plugged into, and OMFG!!!!!!!!!

At least 6 dB louder and SWEET!

Are the new ones that good.....or the old ones that bad?

I love it when good used gear finds its way into the right hands.  :headbang1:

The stock "special Eminence" speakers that come in the 1x12's aren't bad, and at $139 are  really solidly built and a bargain, but the Vintage 30's are mo' better

Looks like a cool little amp. I would'nt mind a loop. I guess that would drive the price up.

You can't beat it with a stick for the price, the only cavaet emptor is that per the post the stock tubes are no-name Chinese that sound nasty when they break up, so you need to spend around $40-45 to upgrade the tubes.

There's a mod posted for the BH5H head, but none that I can find on the net for the BH15H, here's the 5 watt head loop mod, you could probably adapt it to the BH15H head if you know what you're doing and have the time:

With the ECC83/EL84 duet tube swap as described above you can pretty much treat it as the Marshall 18/20 watt head you bought for $100 back in the 70's but stupidly traded in on something else because it wasn't "loud enough", but with better EQ controls/presence/Pentode-triode switch....

[quoteThe ONLY thing it doesn't have is reverb, and that's why God invented pedals....

The reason I'd like to see a loop.

stongly considering running on of there thru a pair of vintage 30s.  I think you stated this but you feel it would be good for a small club?  I am also considering the VOX night train.

I just upgraded the 2 BlackHeart 1x12's I play this through to Celestion Vintage 30's; it's even sweeter than the stock "Special Eminence" that come in the cabs.

Define "small club"? You could always mike the amp if need be; just keep in mind that if you're playing with other people running 50 or 100 watt amps cranked up, you might have some issues keeping up or not be able to get good cleaner sounds with the amp dimed up.
