Birdseye or AAA Birdseye?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a neck that looks like this (see attached pics).
Sorry, these were the only pics that the owner of that neck posted (I got the pics from another place).
Since the specs I'm looking for are never ever in the showcase, I would just custom order a new neck via the neck builder.
I know the wood is Birdseye Maple. But would that classify as plain Birdseye or AAA Birdseye?

Does AAA just have more Birdseyes or are the Birdseyes bigger?
I've seen necks in the showcase with many little Birdseyes (these I don't care for) and others with less amount but relatively *big* Birdseye's and a really cool, crazy wood grain.

A (what I would call) *crazy* wood grain like in those pics would be my ideal in a one-piece, vintage modern neck with my custom specs...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I started to try to answer it but realized I know none of the details.
A phonecall or email to Warmoth would be the best way to get your answer, and would also carry some credible information instead of speculation.

In my opinion the neck pictured is just regular birdseye. I have a few necks just like this one and I ordered regular birdseye.

AAA will have more eyes typically. I think in general birdseyes are around the same size no matter what grade. If you browse the showcase you should get good sense of what higher grade birdseye is.

I think, irrrespective of what/how Warmoth grades the Birdseye maple necks, it is best to give them a ring and discuss the build with them.....That way you can describe the type of figuring you are looking for, and then shoot them an email either linking this Thread or attaching those photos. Hopefully they'll have another piece of wood that's similar.
