Hi there! new to guitar building and setup. i was wondering if you could place a bigsby b7 on a flat top guitar (LP) or would you have to get it arched? please help dont want to mess up  :headbang:

Take a look on the Bigsby website.  It states the B7 is for an archtop guitar
I think you need a B5 or B50, but check out the website.  It describes each model.
Good luck &  :rock-on:

Speaking of Bigsby twangbars, do those simply mate with a standard TOM bridge, or do they require something else?  If the former, is anyone aware of a roller-saddle TOM?  The break angle over a TOM suggests to me that returning to in-tune might be better served using rollers.

Please, someone stop me if I'm talking out of my @ss.

You are absolutely correct Bagman...
A roller bridge is required with the Bigsby.  I used a Schaller roller tunematic bridge on my V and it works great.
There is also a "Vibramate" mounting bracket that you can use with the Bigsby.  It uses the same mounting holes as the bridge.
The Vibramate allows you to do an install without drilling any additional holes in your body; therefore, it is reversible...

Thanks, BlackDog - fantasizing about yet another possible build always gives rise to new technical questions.  I appreciate the help.
