Best Wood for a Thinline Tele Body

Best wood for a thinline? Apparently not mahogany, 'cause I'm going to receive a custom hollow mahogany body which was described as 7lbs of weight in their email related to shipping!  :dontknow: I suppose I'll use that as an anvil, surely not as a guitar... So be very careful, ask everything in advance!
Best,

My 7/8 strat in swampash had a shipping weight of 7lbs and change, but the body only weighed 4,1lbs, so it might not be that you can use it as an anvil.

If it's a shipping notification, that's the weight the shipper is carrying, and includes packaging.  Wait for the body to arrive and then lay your new baby on the scales before you flip out.

My Thinline is a Rosewood Top/ Wenge Body and I thought it was relatively heavy....until I built my solid bodied maple Regal....now the Thinline feels extremely light.

Its all relative.
