Best value case?

I'm looking for a hard shell case for my (soon to be) Warmoth necked tele, preferably under or around $100.

Any particular brands/models/dealers you've found to be an especially good value?

I don't really need a fireproof, kevlar coated, finger-print scanning TSA certified flight case, just something sturdy to keep my new baby safe from standard wear and tear  :laughing11:
 
Guitar Center carries an inexpensive case branded Musicians Gear - which I think is a house brand. $50 for black vinyl, $80 for tweed. It's plush lined and of wood construction. I bought one for a Warmoth Tele, and it's a really nice case for the money. I don't think I'd use it to check on a flight, but for around town use it's fine.
 
I've plenty of these for my Warmoth builds, same one fits Tels / Strats and even fitted a Warmoth SG into the same one.

They are in your price range, I usually buy 2 or 3 at a time, so can get them even cheaper.

I stuck to the same ones, so I can stack'em up  :icon_biggrin:

I looked at Rondo for a tweed case for my Baritone Tele, but found it was printed Tolex vinyl, so I ended up getting a bass case from GFS which is actual Cloth Tweed.

I bet finding a case for a baritone would be a pain  :sad:
 
I'll second Gator cases. My options were kinda limited for a baritone jumbo, but it fit like a glove and it's robust enough for car/van/normal everyday banging around.
 
I hate to be a nay-sayer, but I'm personally not impressed with Gator cases.  SKB is much better IMHO, but that's getting up in price.

To the original poster:  ever think of a gig bag?  I use them all the time except for air travel.

Yep, a good gig bag is quite a worthy bit of kit to keep around.

Carvin has a fairly spendy, but really excellent, gig bag here.  Very rigid construction, better than a lot of so-called hard cases:

Speaking of gig bags, do you want to see something really ingenious? This is admittedly pretty expensive, but for gig bags it's the slickest idea since sliced bread (at least IMO). The Mono Vertigo case is designed to access the instrument with the case standing up. It's faster and takes up less floor space in tight quarters, like a stage or crowded practice space. It also has a heavy rubber "boot" at the bottom to protect the strap button and the guitar in general from impacts. AND it has a device to cradle and protect the neck and headstock. Take a look:

Let me answer your question this way.  If you order by the container from the Orient, you can get whatever quality you are willing to pay for.

Well, I have to admit, I walked right into that one.

Do they have a regular website that would show what the different options are for wider inner dimensions?  I need a case with 15.5' interior width.
