Best Tele Bridge

Wow. There are a ton of really good posts in this thread. Personally I think the best bridge for a tele would be a really high one. You could just chuck the guitar over the edge and that would take care of intonation and ice pick tones and any sqeals from the bridge plate. Then you could buy a Les Paul and have awesome guitar tone.
LOL fudge you...

But seriously, everybody needs a les Paul and a telecaster.

because the Gotoh Tele Humbucker bridge isn't the 3 bar brass saddles, its the strat saddles on a cheapish plate.

:icon_scratch: What makes it a cheapish plate? I mean I'm no tele expert, but I had this bridge on my thinline and it did it's job. The only complaint I have - which seems to apply to all 6-saddle tele bridge designs - is that you need to move or remove the saddles in order to get to the mounting screws. and that made changing the bridge pickup a b****.
Personally i've had little issue with any bridge over the years. Hell, even my sister's old Danelectro with it's what-the-hell-is-this-crap bridge wasn't that much of a disaster. Personally with a bridge I go for looks and ergonomics, maybe ease of adjustment. All the ones your looking at are 99.9% the same. I say you pick what looks the best for the best price.

my judgement comes from how it looks on warmoths site. the black finish Gotoh humbucker bridge looks skeevy. which is odd because the chrome of the same bridge looks really well put together.

it may just be the photography!

Looking at it, I kinda get that. The black finish actually makes it look like plastic in the photo. But I have a gold Gotoh Humbucker Tele bridge sitting on the desk right next to me and I can assure you that it does not look or feel cheap at all.

I've bought lots of Gotoh stuff - the tele bridge you're talking about, tuners, other bridges. Everything has been good quality and good materials. Gotoh makes good stuff. The bridge plate you're complaining about is thick and substantial with flawless plating.
