Hey guys where should I turn to for a wiring diagram that 100% doesn’t exist in a database? Had a guy on fiver want a small fortune and I’m already over budget in every direction on this project.

What do you consider to be a "small fortune"? Is this for a different project than your previous topic? Anyway, why not ask here if you have a specific idea in mind? I'm not a wiring genius, but there are definitely a few around here.

You could try these guys, but I get the feeling that you would consider their fees to be a "small fortune" ...

Because I'm not genius when it comes to wiring, I always look for a wiring diagram at either Seymour Duncan, Freeway or DiMarzio. Usually, with one of those I find something close to what I'm looking for. What kind of switching are you looking for?

I want to do g&l passive treble bass circuit but with no switch just push pulls in the three knobs to turn the three pickups on and off. Getting my hands on the 1 meg reverse audio taper with the push pull for the bass cut was very difficult.

That is easy to do. I assume you have a wiring diagram for the G&L in which case just adapt that diagram as below.

  • Instead of using the switch, you would have a bus type wire across the common terminals of the push pulls and one wire from the last to the volume pot input. This is similar to how the switch would be otherwise connected.
  • Then each pickup hot wire goes to an outer terminal of one push-pull such that when it is engaged the pickup becomes active.
The switch part of the push pulls in this set up are independent of the pot part.
